19:00 29/01/02 -- feeling a little unsettled ?

I am. I think 20% of that is bordom though. I've been making progress in physio, but i'm not as happy about it as i should be. I'm not sure why. Any psychiatrists out there ?

JS3 is ready, but i've no money so you'll have to wait.

12:56 27/01/02 -- Apparently i had a good night.

I only spent about 25 quid so it wasn't too bad. And i'm still alive so that's a good sign.

I been downloading loads of cool music on my brothers computer. I got some very strange cover versions :

13:12 26/01/02 -- Music

I was up late last night thinking about the progression of music in this day and age. About how machines are doing more and more (as with the rest of the world). How the guitar is becoming a thing of the past, slowly but surely. I'm not a fan of dance or techno, i'm a pure guitar person. Sometimes a song will slip through the net, but overall that's my bag.

On a lighter note -- i'm going out tonight with some friends. I'm looking forward to it. It's the first time everyone is going out for ages. I'm in good form as well because i'm making progress in physiotherapy. A little bit more each day - that's what it's all about.

You've all got the day off, no moaning from yours truly today.

19:40 20/01/02 -- You will bring captain Solo and the Wookie to me

Just got through watching a new episode of the Simpsons on Sky. It's so surreal now ! I can't begin to explain. Anyone who has seen it will know what i'm talking about. Maud Flanders is dead, Barney is sober. Strange.

The script for JS#4 is coming along great. Prob the best thing i've ever written. I'm actually researching for this issue !! It's a lot of fun. I think i'm turning into one of those real Starwars geeks though. Still, the force is with me...

21:25 19/01/02 -- Moving out and moving on

I've just about got my stuff moved and unpacked in my parents house. My ex and i are still talking, but things are pretty wierd. It's gonna take a while to adjust - especially to the new climate. This house is a lot warmer than my last !! I'm gonna give it a trial run of about a month.

i made an update today, and sent off for some free samples. i think the site is www.nojunkfree.com but i' not sure. If that link doesn't work then you'll know why. Lets see who can get the best free sample off the net !! All entries must be real. Email the finds preferably with an address.

15:11 15/01/02 -- Change

Well, where to begin....

I broke up with my girlfriend who i'd been seeing for a year and 8 months. On top of that, i've moved out of the house i was sharing with her.

We parted on good terms and we're going to remain good friends. We're actually getting on better now than we were !! I think my illness has put a big strain on our relationship. I'm feeling a little wierd, cos we saw each other almost every day while we were going out. Before we moved in together - we worked together, so it's a little strange.

I feel great all things considering. Went to physiotherapy today. Did a lot of showing off. Walking up and down stairs, going on the excercise bike with the resistance on etc.

Moving back to my parents house means, internet access (as well as cooked meals and clean clothes !). And that means regular updates for the weblog !! News as it happens !! just like sky news !!

23:31 11/01/02 -- progress !

Went round to Drew's place today, and got loads of research done for 'Just Suppose...'#4. I'm really very pleased with the script so far. I might actually go as far to say -- i'm very proud of it ! But it's early days yet.

We also worked out some stuff for the release of JS#3 'Preacher Ted'. Here is Paul's amazing cover :

Cool huh ? That's me in good form anyways. I'm gonna go throw bricks through old peoples windows now.

12:04 10/01/02 -- Star trek

A few years ago, Andy and I popped down to our local library. They were having a StarTrek club meeting, so we decided to check it out. I can't speak for Andy, but i'm definately not proud of it.

Okay, so we went along. The first nights membership is free, however, they were having a special night because they were showing the pilot episode of Voyager straight from America. Andy and i claimed we had no money at all, which of course was a lie -- and being typical federation gimps, they believed us.

There were at least 15 of them, all wearing various Starfleet uniforms, it was horrible. Some of them were even talking Klingon. It was just like something out of Evan Dorkin's Eltingville club !! I still see their faces when i close my eyes.

Eventually we managed to escape. They just assumed we'd bring in the money next week when we came back. But we never returned. To this day, i steer clear of that library -- mostly out of fear. I keep thinking one of them is gonna jump out at me when i least expect it, wearing full uniform and firing a toy phaser. They haunt me.

...think i'll do a comic about them !

18:44 08/01/02 -- cornetto/flake combo

Actually physically walked to the shop today. i've been feeling pretty good body wise lately, though i'm a bit down cos of some women trouble.

They're the biggest mystery in the universe aren't they ? You could love them and hate them in a single breath. I know a girl who gave a bloke a speech about how he wasn't allowed to mess her about like he did to his last girlfriend, and then she turned round and started messing behind his back ! She really made a big deal about it too. women complain about how theres no decent blokes in the world.

Why ?

because they probably messed them all about, just like the case study above. they moan about finding a 'nice guy', and as soon as they do, they go off behind his back with some monster of an excuse for human. Y'know what i mean... a semi literate 6 foot bum, with no money and a criminal record who will eventually cheat on her, beat her up and then get her pregnant. In the end he'll most likely take all her money and leave her to bring up the kid by herself.

Am i a masculinist ? hmmmm....

it's true though isn't it ? Right now, i know at least 6 women who have cheated on their partner. All MEN are pigs ?

I dunno, why am i even getting annoyed about it ? Maybe cos some of those blokes are people i know. If they were friends i'd tell them straight away, but i don't know them well enough. It makes you wonder though. Does love exist ? Am i naive for asking ? Is it just a word we throw about without contemplating it's meaning ? Do we give the idea as much thought as we do breathing or blinking ?

i'm lost...

anyway, i walked to the shop today and got myself some cigarettes and a cornetto/flake ice cream.

11:45 07/01/02 -- out of food

We're slowly running out of food. I may have to eat one of the cats. Probably the ginger one cos he's got more meat on him. We're getting a puppy next week. Her names Galaxy. She was round last nite for a visit. Cute isn't the word.

Been feeling great lately, getting stronger slowly.

Andy sez we'll get JS#3 out soon. It'll be american size. i can't wait. It's release will mark an end to a troubled period of my life.

15:39 06/01/02 -- James Bond (again)

I got into a detailed conversation the other day. My friend Richie Rich (of Fagpuss fame) and i were watching Moonraker. I got quite annoyed. The moonraker elite have to wear these poncy looking uniforms with massive headsets. The conversation went something like this :

"It's just not practical is it ?"

"What ?"

"Those headsets...."

"Whatta ya mean ?"

"Well, imagine you've been wearing that thing all day. You're tired. You finally get your 15 minute break (or depending on the evil mastermind your working for, 25 min) and you make your way to the cafeteria--

"Yeah, or - on site caterer"

"...Point is, you cant see a thing wearing one of those, and your heads bound to be sweating. It just wouldn't be practical, would it ?

"......hmmm"

"Are they designed with safety in mind ? Cos i doubt they were built for comfort..."

"...indeed..."

13:51 01/01/02 -- urrghh...?

WHASSSUUUPPP ?!?!?! Good xmas and new years ? Mine was alright. Xmas definitely gets worse, the older you get. Still, i got the supercomputer which will one day help me take over the world. I think i'm still drunk......yeah. My girlfriend had to go to work at eight o'clock this morning. Unlucky. I'm pretty sure i crawled into bed around six, but that piece of info will remain a rumour until i find someone who can remember.

Good news on the health front - i'm feeling a load better, and slightly stronger. YAY !

Anyways - stuff to do, people to kill.
